This beauty was created by @nutriholist! She says it best: How much fun is it to eat blue food?🤗 Blue is my favorite color, so couldn’t be more excited to try blue butterfly pea flower powder for a plant-based, all-natural, magical shade of blue ✨
.
As you can tell from the name, the powder is made from a decoction or infusion of the petals or even the whole flower of the butterfly pea plant. It’s been brewed for centuries in South East Asia, but just recently introduced outside the indigenous area. If you’re up for a cool science experiment, add a squeeze of lemon juice and watch the color turn purple as the pH changes 🍋💜
