This delicious smoothie will have your insides dancing the Macarena. Easy to digest and warming and nourishing for both body and mind, this balancing blend will put the spring in your step even in the cold of winter!
ingredients:
1 cup of quick nut milk*
1 banana
1/2 tsp. of Gelatinized Maca Powder (gelatinized please! Peruvians don't eat raw maca, neither should you! Your digestive system can thank me later :)
1 apple, cored (and peeled if not organic or sensitive to fiber) and chopped
A pinch of cinnamon
A pinch of Wilderness Poets Pure Vanilla Powder
A pinch of ginger powder or fresh ginger, to taste
1/2 small cucumber, peeled and chopped
1 teaspoon of Wilderness Poets Mesquite Powder
1 tablespoon of Wilderness Poets White Mulberries (soak in a bit of warm water for an easier blend and easier digestion)
*Blend 2 tablespoons of Wilderness Poets HempSpread, Almond Butter or Cashew Butter with 3/4 cup of coconut water and 1/4 tsp of Pure Vanilla Powder in a blender until smooth and creamy. Optional: Add a Medjool date, maple syrup, or raw honey to sweeten.
to create:
1. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth and creamy.
2. Top with mulberries and optional: hemp seeds, cacao nibs, sprouted or soaked nuts/seeds or fresh fruit.
Optional: Add 1 tablespoon of Cacao Powder to the smoothie before blending for a chocolate version! Yum!
