Our Organic Lion's Mane Mushroom Powder is cultivated in California on California-Grown, Organic Brown Rice. The brown rice serves as a nutritious growing medium and serves the mycelium with enough starches and complex carbohydrates to digest into sugar for energy to grow. Once the brown rice is fully colonized by the Lion's Mane mycelium and primordial knots begin to form (the beginning of the Lion's Mane "fruiting body", the mushroom itself), the mycelium is harvested and gently dried at low temperatures. It is then ground into a potent powder and ready to use in your favorite recipes!
