Gyokuro Green Tea - Organic
Experience "Jade Dew" - Japan's most refined green tea. Our top-grade Organic Gyokuro Karigane Green Tea is organically grown and hand-harvested by the Sakamoto family, a third-generation tea farm in Kagoshima Prefecture on Kyushu Island, Japan. This shade-grown tea is uniquely cultivated under covered rows during its final growth phase to increase the umami-rich, naturally sweet flavor in the leaves. The Karigane style (leaf and stem) offers blissful natural sweetness and calm alertness. First cultivated in Kyoto in 1835, Gyokuro remains Japan's most prized green tea, treasured by connoisseurs for its delicate complexity and exceptional quality.

This product carries California's Proposition 65 WARNING

Our Gyokuro Green Tea delivers a complex flavor profile with vegetal, savory, sweet, and fruity notes. The Sakamoto family pioneered organic tea farming in Japan in the early 1980s, believing that nutrient-rich soil is the foundation of exceptional tea. They create their own "bokashi" fertilizer from fermented organic composts including rice bran and indigenous microorganisms ensuring every leaf is grown in living, mineral-rich soil. The traditional "shading process" enhances umami flavor, while the "Sencha method", steaming and rolling the leaves, preserves vibrant green color and releases deeper fragrance.
Rich in L-theanine, Gyokuro offers balanced calm alertness - a refined, sustainable energy boost perfect for focused mornings or mindful afternoon rituals. This is tea as meditation, tea as craft, tea at its absolute finest.
